Stalkers on Myspace
Oops Baby Records released the Stalkers’ single, Lady Sonia b/w When We Get There, on May 31, 2011 on black and limited blue 7″ vinyl and digitally. Their debut LP, Yesterday Is No Tomorrow was released in 2008 by One Little Indian and Dollar Dollar Records. Their much anticipated follow up LP, Full Blown, will be released later this year on cassette by Burger Records.
The Stalkers released their debut album, ‘Yesterday Is No Tomorrow’, (now a collector’s item in the States, available on import only) in 2008 on One little Indian. The record received positive reviews from the British press and the band has toured extensively, appearing at major UK festivals and playing packed houses all over the States. The band has built a steady following since forming in 2007 – the five members; Andy (vocals), Dave (rhythm guitar), Danny (bass), John (lead guitar) and Josh (drums) create a live energy that is rarely seen these days. Reminiscent of the highly charged shows of the New York Dolls and the Misfits, mixed with the pure raw energy of the MC5, the Stooges and The Damned, they are not to be missed.
“Spearheading the new revival of the new revival of garage rock, New York
City’s Stalkers are both utterly pissed and boisterously pissed off. Dirty
trenches of sound, deeply mired in muck, already groping your sister while
your mom watches on and approves. Yes, it’s that rough: true RAWK and
ROLL …….New York Dolls? Check. The Stooges? Check. Great punk rock
and roll? A definite check.”
“This is a band for fans of good-time, three-chord guitar music; of
sharp, smart-ass, punk-pop choruses, and for those who believe that
rock’n’roll is ample reward for putting up with living in what is a
predominantly crappy world.”
